Dr. Ruth Faucette, PhD, LMFT
“I believe in the power of high-quality mental health care to create profound and lasting change."
As a doctoral-level licensed psychotherapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families through a lens that honors the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of well-being. My approach is thoughtful, integrative, and grounded in both insight-oriented therapy and Brainspotting, a brain-body modality that can help access and process experiences that may be held beneath conscious awareness or beyond the reach of words alone. I help clients move through adversity, deepen self-understanding, and build the resilience needed to live with greater authenticity, wholeness, and emotional freedom.
Many of my clients are highly capable individuals who appear to be managing life well on the outside while internally carrying stress, self-doubt, relational pain, overwhelm, or the effects of past experiences. Therapy with me offers a grounded, compassionate space for deeper healing—not simply symptom management. Together, we explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen your capacity to navigate life's challenges, and support meaningful change rooted in insight, resilience, and a more connected relationship with yourself.
Prior to entering private practice, I served as Director of Behavioral Health and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where I taught the next generation of physicians and supervised behavioral health providers in primary care. I earned a PhD in Human Development, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Virginia Tech, followed by a fellowship in Medical Family Therapy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Currently, I serve as Adjunct Faculty in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. Across academia, healthcare, and private practice, my work has centered on developing high achievers—helping them deepen self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and pursue meaningful success without sacrificing well-being.

Kayla Hoover, MA, LAMFT
"I work to create a space that feels warm, grounded, and deeply supportive."
I understand that relationships, family dynamics, and the world around us can be sources of profound joy, but they can also bring stress, conflict, and seasons of disconnection. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families to create a space where each person is met with care, respect, and acceptance.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, relational, and holistic, taking into account both your individual needs and the broader patterns, relationships, and life experiences that shape your story. I value helping clients gain deeper insight, strengthen communication, and cultivate healthier, more connected relationships. Furthermore, I enjoy incorporating creativity and experiential interventions when helpful, offering thoughtful and engaging ways to explore emotions, deepen self-understanding, and support meaningful, lasting change.
I hold a Master's in Couples and Family Therapy from Saint Louis University, where I was named Student of the Year for academic and clinical excellence. That same excellence shapes the way I support individuals, couples, and families in reaching their therapeutic goals.
